This is an impressive Victorian cast iron and brass book press. The book press is positioned on its original, bespoke mahogany stand which has two drawers, the top one of which locks with a key. On both sides of the stand there are side flaps supported on wooden, hinged stays. It is in fine antique condition with wear commensurate with age.

The bottom drawer is deeper than the upper two drawers at 7cm internally. The item has been restored and revarnished. The drawers have marks and wear commensurate with their age and previous use. The writing panels have inevitable signs of wear.
An impressive Victorian mahogany specimen/collector's cabinet with original handles and dovetailed joints. It has four drawers, the top three of which are segmented. Each drawer has forty compartments, measuring 5cm x 5cm. The bottom drawer is not segmented. It is in good antique condition with minor wear commensurate with its age and previous use.
